What's Up Wednesday

Apparently keeping up with this blog has been just way too hard. However, there was a lesson in relief society all about recording our lives, and then my mom wrote an awesome blog about record keeping, and these two things inspired me to try harder. I am awful at trying to write stories and be creative, so my attempt to keep records for my family will probably be fairly boring. I read a few blogs that do "What's Up Wednesday" posts where they write about various things they're doing. I'm going to try this out weekly and see how it works.

What We're Eating This Week: Ha! The bane of my existence is this question, and I hear it gets worse as children get older and hungrier. I made lettuce wraps last night which turned out surprisingly well. Matt even said that I had enough spice in them; he normally tells me that I must have forgotten that seasonings make food better. I have plans for baked potatoes and chili this week as well as breakfast for dinner one night. It's hard on the two nights I teach because I want to have dinner ready for Matt and the kids when he gets home from work, but I leave like an hour before he gets home. I also want it to be something that will reheat well and still taste good when I get home at 8:30. Crock pot meals are usually my main sources of cooking on the nights that I teach. Kennedy always eats what we eat. Swen never eats what we eat. He lives on peanut butter toast, cheese with crackers, pizza, cereal with milk, mac and cheese, and chicken nuggets. He often says, "Is this real food that I'm eating?" because we are always telling him he needs to eat some real food. Haha!

What I'm Reminiscing About: The Costa Rica trip Matt and I took about a year ago. There's not anything better than being on a free vacation in Costa Rica. Not only was it free, but it was a luxury vacation. If I had been better at record keeping, I'd have a blog written all about it on here somewhere. We may have gotten a little depressed thinking we'll never afford a vacation like that for ourselves ever again.

What I'm Loving: The rain! I love spring and summer a lot. Going to parks and swimming with my kids are my favorite things to do, but this rain has been so refreshing and beautiful! Swen doesn't agree. He firmly stated, "Mom, I do not like this weather. I like Christmas weather." Kennedy agrees with Swen: "Mommy this water is getting my clothes and my hair all wet!" She then proceeds to cry uncontrollably until she's dry. I don't know where she got her sass from. I feel like Matt and I are pretty laid back, but maybe I'm wrong. Who knows? I'm glad she's strong willed; it's such a good quality to have later in life.

What I'm Dreading: I can't think of much right now! I'm sure that will change, but I have nothing coming up in life that sounds too miserable. :)

What I'm Working On: Trying to get clothes ready for Baby Brother coming in just four months. I can't believe that he will be here so soon. I have purchased some clothes, but have yet to go through all of the boxes I have from Swen.

What I'm Excited About: SUMMER! I am so excited to have a small break from my class. I am crazy and decided to teach a summer class that is 16 weeks condensed into 8 weeks. This is good because I only teach 8 weeks this summer! It's a little bad because they are long classes, and it goes about a week in a half past my due date, so that will be interesting. I figure things will just somehow work out. I also am excited for Swen to be out of school for summer; we are going to have so much fun, and I won't have to work my days around dropping him off and picking him up. I hope to swim like three times a week, even though I'll look like a whale.

What I'm Watching/Reading: Can I skip this one? I'm embarrassed to say I haven't read a book since Costa Rica ( where I read TWO!!). I just can't find time to do it with the kids, and when they're in bed I just want to binge watch TV. I am loving, Designated Survivor, This is Us, Survivor, and Homeland.

What I'm Listening To: Nothing really. I'm not an avid music lover. Sorry Matt! He finds music that I really enjoy, but I still don't listen to it on my own. I'm usually singing songs with the kids or listening to their Lego Movie that's been on repeat in the car.

What I'm Wearing: Leggings, sweats, and on a really good day some maternity jeans. When the weather gets warmer, I'll be living in skirts and dresses. Those are the only comfortable clothes when pregnant.

What I'm Doing This Weekend: We have a girls' night planned to see Beauty and the Beast on Friday! Hooray! On Saturday we'll probably get together with our friends where we'll eat, play Bonanza, and let the kids run wild.

And that's about all I've got right now! My kids better read this and love this in 30 years. We'll see.

Oh can I also say that I'm loving Google Photos? I hated blogging because I had to email myself all the pictures, but now they go straight from my phone to Google Photos, and here they are on my computer! So here's a random photo dump.

Swen still LOVES cars. He can not have enough. Ever.

She gets funnier and more stubborn daily.

My all time favorite line in life right now is, "Mom will you sit be me? I love sitting by you." We sit together and snuggle ALL THE TIME. He's always been snuggly and still is.

This little miracle boy is so adorable already, right? The kids are so excited for him to come. They randomly bring him up all the time. Swen has also found several outfits with cars on them that we HAD to buy for when he gets here.

Oh yeah Woof is still around! The kids love him to death. I  love him most of the time. He just listens to Matt WAY better than me, and it is a problem.

I love him. So much. Can I brag just for a second? He never complains. Like ever. I haven't ever heard him say anything about work being bad (Which duh of course he has bad days there. It's work!), and he just is content to go about life and be an awesome husband and dad. I could definitely work on being more like him in that way.

One night I found them snuggled asleep together. Matt and I just stared at them forever,
